Speaker Bio
About Gregory Fisher, BA, BD, MSW, RScP
With more than 30 years of personal recovery, Gregory Fisher has been a minister for nearly 50 years. During that time, he embarked upon a journey to develop for himself a new approach to spirituality—a spirituality of integrity, authenticity and acceptance—and a ministry that exists beyond church walls. He is an “everyman” with a modern and accessible approach to age-old truths.
During that time, Gregory struggled with his sexual identity, substance abuse and a serious mental health diagnosis. His healing led him to study various religious systems and spirituality and, specifically, the Science of Mind (SOM). In 2001, he became a licensed SOM practitioner. After earning a Master of Science degree in Social Work in 2003, he began counseling others battling substance abuse. Gregory later completed studies to become a personal and professional life coach and was awarded a Bachelor of Divinity degree. He is an ordained minister, and is pursuing a Doctor of Divinity degree.
Today, Gregory practices full-time as a spiritual/pastoral counselor and a recovery coach, using his training as a social worker, coach, minister and communicator to work with individuals, families, groups and organizations to find genuine connection, mindfulness, purposefulness and a working spirituality. Additionally, he is trained in Eutaptics®, also known as “tapping,” and continues his studies to refine those skills.
