Participants will share case studies and engage in open dialogue with audience members to increase knowledge of creating a therapeutic alliance while, at the same time, using those techniques to create a therapeutic alliance with the audience. In this way participants will be able to learn how to establish the alliance didactically and experientially.
Participants will be able to: 1) Rank the most significant ways to effect positive change 2) Differentiate and summarize between outdated approaches of MI and the current four key processes based on research to sustain growth and change 3) Discuss the most effective strategies and approaches that result in the best longitudinal outcomes
