Summer House was a pioneer in free-standing detox centers. We have over twenty years of experience helping addicts and alcoholics achieve sobriety and long-term recovery. Our drug and alcohol detox methods grow out of our many years of experience helping people come off of drugs and alcohol safely and comfortably. Whether the drug you are struggling with is heroin, other opiates, benzodiazepines, methamphetamine, alcohol, or some other drug, we can help. Our twenty-four hour nursing staff will monitor your drug and alcohol detox carefully, administering your medications at least every four hours. Summer House understands that alcoholism and drug addiction has a devastating effect on both individuals and their families. Having suffered the indignities that come along with active addiction, many of our patients arrive spiritually, morally, and financially bankrupt. For that reason, Summer House was founded with the idea that providing a dignified, warm, home-like environment for drug and alcohol detox is an effective way to help our patients begin to regain their self-esteem. Our facility is not a stark and sterile place. Large, comfortable couches, wood paneled ceilings, memory foam mattresses, and satellite television in every room creates a comfortable home-like environment. Our gourmet kitchen prepares three delicious meals a day. If you have specific dietary needs, we are prepared to accommodate whatever they may be. Summer House is set on a beautiful waterway in tropical South Florida. Our patients often fish and take in the sun.
