Alex Ribbentrop is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDR Trained Clinician, and Certified Family Trauma Professional. Currently Alex owns and operates Live Free Psychotherapy LLC in Boca Raton Florida providing comprehensive clinical services to individuals, couples, and families and clinical consultation to co-occurring treatment facilities and organizations seeking to better understand issues related to mental health and psychotherapy. Alex received a BA in Philosophy from George Mason University where he also completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work and was a two-time recipient of the Award for Outstanding Clinical Social Work. Over the course of his career, Alex has worked in numerous settings and roles. This includes co-occurring treatment at all levels of care, community mental health treatment and efforts in both for-profit and non-profit settings. In addition to academic and professional experience Alex is trained in EMDR and has completed trainings in DBT, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
