Dr. James Walker is a forensic neuropsychologist and the managing principal of Neuropsychology Consultants, PLLC. He is one of only nine psychologists in the nation board-certified in both clinical neuropsychology and forensic psychology.
During his 20 year career, Dr. Walker has served as an individual and family psychotherapist, as the director of psychology at a brain injury rehabilitation hospital, as the neuropsychologist for a maximum security forensic state hospital, and as a faculty member at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine serving as the Director of Forensic Services during his final two year tenure there.
His experience includes helping patients with many different disorders, including traumatic brain injury, developmental problems, late-life dementia, epilepsy, learning disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), chronic pain, posttraumatic stress disorder, and other serious psychiatric problems. Dr. Walker has consulted on thousands of cases, and has testified more than 180 times as a forensic neuropsychologist in Tennessee, Texas, Kentucky, Arkansas, Alabama, and Florida.
Dr. Walker has testified on both sides in the courtroom, in both civil and criminal cases. He has been recognized for the objectivity of his conclusions, his professional manner, and his style of communicating scientific principles in a down-to-earth, understandable fashion.
