DBT, a cognitive behavioral treatment originally developed to treat borderline personality disorder and suicidality, now is evidentially proven effective for substance dependence. 
Practitioners must know the DBT skills to effectively apply DBT. This training seeks to introduce attendees to the foundational set of DBT skills, Core Mindfulness. Mindfulness helps reduce suffering, accept reality as it is, increase control of the mind, and understand what each moment calls for.
