Important Notice: As of Thursday, March 12, 2020 “Innovations in Recovery 2020 Conference and Golf Tournament” is canceled.  Following announcements made by state, federal, and international officials mandating large gatherings be canceled, we have made the necessary decision to cancel the event. IIR2020 exhibitors and sponsors will be contacted with further information regarding sponsorship agreements. All attendees currently registered, will be refunded their registration fees. All hotel reservations will be addressed by hotel staff. Please contact them directly with any reservation questions.

We want to recognize all the hard work our speakers, exhibitors, partners, and friends have put into this project over the past five months. This decision was not made lightly and all of your sacrifices are appreciated in this endeavor. When we set out to change the way conferences were viewed in this space, we could not have foreseen such a monumental world crisis taking place. Thank you for your hard work and belief in what we could create with an event.

FOUNDATIONS RECOVERY NETWORK leadership takes very seriously the health and safety of our IIR participants and is closely tracking the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) developments. We are aware of the changing nature of this situation and will continue to update this site with any new information.

As you know, the Innovations In Recovery Conference is a highly valuable annual forum for education, alignment, best-practice sharing, networking and recognition.  It is an investment in empowering and supporting our leaders across our served markets to continue to successfully drive the industry.  FOUNDATIONS RECOVERY NETWORK is committed to implementing responsible measures to protect our attendees’ health and safety as we proceed with the conference.  As we continue to monitor the Coronavirus situation, we would like share the below information.

Please be advised that IIR will be held as scheduled, based on the most current information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Preventative Measures

FOUNDATIONS RECOVERY NETWORK is working closely with the Hotel Del Coronado staff in San Diego to put appropriate measures in place to protect the safety and health of all IIR attendees.  The hotel staff assures us that they are following their normal policies and procedures for cleaning and disinfecting, which are of extremely high standard and part of their everyday practice.  Their focus is ensuring that the hotel provides a safe, secure and clean environment for guests and team members.

That being said, please note the following:

•    We have requested additional cleaning and disinfecting in high-traffic areas prior to and for the duration of IIR.
•    Hand sanitizer and tissues will be in place throughout the conference common areas and in the meeting rooms.
•    Attendees are strongly urged to follow proper respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene, as outlined by the CDC.
•    Attendees are encouraged to refrain from, or very selectively engage in, handshaking and hugging.
•    If you are currently experiencing symptoms (fever, cough, etc.) or begin to experience them during the conference, please seek medical evaluation.

FOUNDATIONS RECOVERY NETWORK leadership will continue to monitor the situation closely and will update this site as needed.

Safe travels, and we are looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks.

What is INNOVATIONS IN RECOVERY?

Focused on exploring new and emerging modalities and proven approaches to substance abuse and co-occurring treatment, the Innovations in Recovery conference also highlights breakthroughs in complex mental health disorders and process addictions. The primary goal of IIR is to equip treatment professionals and organizations to effectively meet the needs of specialized clients and demographics, and to inform them of the latest business trends and topics impacting the industry.

CONTINUUM OF CARE

This year's conference theme will be an even more immersive experience, as we explore the continuum of care. To gain insight from the patient's perspective, you will "admit" yourself into a treatment experience offering you the opportunity to walk through a full continuum of care from a patient's point of view. We hope this event will help us as an industry gain a deeper understanding of the patient's needs.

DAY ONE
Attendees will be admitted into the conference where they will break the stigma around asking for help, go through the intervention process, check into detox and get introduced to recovery principles.
DAY TWO
Will allow attendees to experience process groups as if they are in residential or partial hospitalization levels of care, including trauma work.
DAY THREE
Will feature emerging and time-tested ways to maintain the therapeutic alliance throughout a continuum of care as participants explore IOP, aftercare and sober living challenges and tools. We will also look at a patient's reintegration into the community by experiencing a psychodrama of a recovery meeting and the support it gives while being paired with alumni services.
DAY FOUR

Will close out the continuum experience by doing a process group on the conference experience.

Executives and leadership attendees will have their own track which will focus on business issues specific to our field such as the payor/provider relationship, starting and operating a treatment center, and mental health marketing.
