Melissa obtained her BA in Psychology from Limestone College, South Carolina’s oldest all women’s college and is a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor. She is a graduate of The Gateless Writing Academy and is among the honored to teach in the Gateless Method. Prior to the founding of Casa Capri Recovery in 2011, she achieved and gained years of experience as Case Manager, Director of Programs, Business Development and Admissions.
Casa Capri Recovery has become nationally recognized as leaders in women’s addiction treatment specializing in women’s core issues. Knowing recovery is more than just abstinence from drugs and alcohol, it’s a lifestyle, Melissa has created a beautiful space and a brought together a specialized team of leading experts in the field of addiction focused on the treatment of women’s core issues; trauma, attachment disorder, substance abuse and disordered eating- with credentials ranging from our Dually Board Certified MD, RN, LVN, PsyD, LMFT, MPH, RD, CDE, CADC, LAADC and RADT. At Casa Capri Recovery, Melissa and her impressive team have built a thriving recovering community for women helping them to uncover and discover who they are meant to be- and begin building a healthy and manageable life around it.
Melissa lives in Newport Beach, California with her adoring husband and their three incredible daughters.
