In this panel discussion, substance use treatment center CEO’s, Owners, and Executive Directors will discuss challenges, experiences, and strategy’s employed throughout the life-cycle of a treatment center. Each guest, representing facilities in operation from 17 years to 5 months, will highlight current operational procedures, along with case studies, unique to the facility each is representing. 

Objectives:  Participants will be able to:

1. Gain understanding of challenges faced when opening a substance use treatment center in the current political and economic landscape as well as address financial requirements in order to initiate a successful start-up in the substance use field
2. Identify strategies for creating and implementing effective operational procedures at startup, after four years, after six years, and after 17 years of operation
3. Improve understanding and awareness, through interactive question and answer session, of ways to overcome current challenges for those already operating treatment centers in the substance use arena of behavioral healthcare
4. Collaborate with industry professionals on public policy and industry standards through open forum moderated by Panelists
