This presentation will discuss how brainspotting was discovered, what it is, how it differs from EMDR, and how it is used to work with clients who have issues with trauma and addiction. This presentation serves as an introduction to brainspotting and will not provide step-by-step instruction for use in sessions.

• Participants will be able to identify how brainspotting is similar and different from EMDR.

• Participants will be able to discuss how brainspotting can be used with clients who struggle with substance abuse and addictions.
