Writers In Treatment, founded by Leonard Buschel in 2008, produces and presents events that support recovery and the arts, as well as the industry's most widely read online newsletter, the Addiction/Recovery eBulletin. The REEL Recovery Film Festival & Symposium held each Fall in Los Angeles and New York shows a variety of shorts, documentaries and feature films that highlight the struggles and triumphs of those dealing with alcoholism, addiction and mental illness. Writers In Treatment also hosts the inspiring sober celebration the Experience, Strength and Hope awards each February in Los Angeles.
