Alleva truly began when our founders Matt Stevens and Steve McCall came to the hospital to visit their friends whose son had overdosed soon after exiting treatment. Watching the pain and devastation of their friends next to their sleeping son who was struggling for his life was a wake-up call. Coming from the home health software world, they began researching the available technology in the behavioral healthcare space and realized just how much work needed to be done. That search led our founders to form Alleva and set forth our mission: “to save and improve the lives of people suffering from mental health and addiction issues.” We accomplish this by pushing the boundaries of technology to not only enable medical professionals to spend more time with the patients they serve but to put technology right into the hands of the patient, giving them tools to help them recover. We believe that the future of health care is in creating better connections with our patients, and Alleva is mission-driven to that outcome.
