Power, wealth and fame can be a great blessing but also a significant burden. This presentation will explore the realities of recovery for the powerful, wealthy and famous. The generational implications of power, wealth and fame will be examined and the ways it impacts addiction and recovery. We will discuss the ways in which power, wealth and fame can shackle someone to addiction or free them to recover. The need for secrecy and privacy and the manner this helps and hinders the recovery process. The need for protection from those trying to take advantage of the advantaged and how this need can impede recovery. The impact of a name taking precedence over self.
