As the addiction treatment industry has grown significantly in recent years in response to the opioid epidemic and favorable payer landscape, so too have opportunistic profiteers who unethically and illegally exploit those in need of treatment. In response, lawmakers, prosecutors, and payers are increasingly turning their focus to the addiction treatment industry, including operators of recovery residences, also known as sober homes. In this session, participants will benefit from the unique perspective and experience of the Florida State Attorney who created the Palm Beach County Sober Homes Task Force and has been on the cutting-edge of investigating and prosecuting fraud and abuse in the addiction treatment industry.
