Description
This is an interactive workshop showcasing how to use narrative to improve mental health outcomes. The process can be used with any number of mental health issues including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and other forms of mental illness, bringing relief to millions. It also can be used by caregivers who need new perspective on their lives. The presentation will begin with a brief discussion outlining the science behind narrative therapies and an overview of neuroplasticity in mental health treatment. The workshop will also include a “narrative experience” in which volunteers will work through a narrative change process so that those in attendance can experience how this therapy works.
